In the past few years, the bilateral trade between India and China has been rising substantially and trade volume has already crossed $ 75 billion mark. But the potential that exists among both the countries for trade and investment is still largely unexplored. Besides the well-known markets like Shenzhen and Guangzhou, there are many emerging markets, which are still unexplored and provide a huge opportunity for Indian Business Community.

The India China Economic and Cultural Council (ICEC) launched its Gujarat chapter in Ahmedabad on August 26, 2011. H.E. Mr. Zhang Yan, Chinese ambassador to India, was the Chief Guest at the launch event. During the visit, Excellency Zhang Yan met Shri. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat and invited him to visit China.

26th Day of January 2012 was celebrated with a unique concept of Republic Day Of India and Chinese New Year – 2012 together to strengthen India-China relations by India China Economic & Cultural Council (ICEC), Gujarat in close co operation with Culture department of Embassy of China in India & CCTV of China.

The Chief Minister of Gujarat - Mr. Narendra Modi, wished “Happy Chinese New Year -2012” to Chinese people by sending his video massage during the celebrations.
