WHY ICEC COUNCIL ?

The ICEC Council is not a Chamber of Commerce. Our Mission is to enhance business between India and China by stimulating closer community relationship. This would be undertaken by taking advantage of complimentary cultural profiles of the two countries of over five thousand years. In spite of the fact that both the economies have an impressive growth rate during the last decade and more, Indian and Chinese businesses have lagged behind in using their combined strength to gain from fast growing domestic markets.
It is conceivable and indeed imperative that Chinese and Indian entrepreneurs form mutually beneficial partnerships, joint ventures, seek exchange of technologies and witness greater mutual FDI flow to boost the bilateral trade in the future. There is also a need to develop developing common agenda and strategies to deal with the challenges of globalisation. A concerted effort is needed to develop social interactivity between the two countries to achieve faster economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries. ICEC Council is fully committed to this approach for enhancing economic ties between India and China. It fills the existing institutional void in galvanising the required efforts to concretize closer co-operation between the two countries.
