Mohammed Saqib is Secretary-General of India China Economic and Cultural Council. He has worked with ICRIER from 1985-1995 before moving to Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies (RGCIS) at Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in 1996. He did his M.S in Economics from University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1984 and has been a consultant to various organizations, such as the World Bank, European Union, UNDP, UNCTAD, Ministry of Commerce and Industry etc.
Saqib has done extensive research work on China and undertaken various research projects for international organizations, government, industry and academia on policy issues, writing and evaluation of research project, dissemination of research through seminars, conferences and lectures etc. Working on economic reforms, Environment, FDI, Trade, Industrial policy and WTO related issues.
