About the Fair

ICEC Council in association with Government of Xindu and Chengdu Economic Daily organized a two day commodity fair on 16th – 17th September 2014 displaying the best of Chinese products at Hotel Le Meridien, Bangalore. The focused sectors included Hotel Industry Supplies, Food Ingredients, Furniture Items, General and Consumer Electronics, Textiles – Silk, and Herbal Health.

Southern Silk Road Commodity Fair, BangaloreThe fair begun with a Promotional Conference on Xindu District and was attended by reputed government officials from China and India. The officials were Mr. Liu Jin, Vice Minister, Xindu District Promotional Department, Mr. Luo Wengang, Deputy Director General, Xindu District Commercial Bureau and Ms. Ou Ruzhang, Associate Director, Xindu District Northern Mall Business Alliance Governing Board from China.

The Indian side was represented by Ms. Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary, I&C Department, Ms. N. Shantha Kumari, Mayor of Bangalore and Mr. S Sampathraman, President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

32 companies from Xindu exhibited their products at the fair and witnessed a footfall of over 1700 visitors on both the fair days.
